Times Square

Times Square is an iconic landmark that I believe everyone should experience at least once. The dazzling neon lights, massive digital billboards, and bustling atmosphere create an electrifying energy that is truly infectious. It’s a place where people from all walks of life come together to enjoy the entertainment, shopping, and dining options. From Broadway Shows to street performers, there’s always something happening in Times Square.

Statue of Liberty

The Statue of Liberty is a must-see at least once in your lifetime. My family had the pleasure of going to the top and see the views from above. If you do this, be ready to climb lots of stairs because the elevator only takes you up part of the way. I wish I had a picture of my dad pressed against the edge, scared to death, yelling at me to get away from the railing. The railing was concrete and sat at eye level. He is not a fan of heights, but I give him credit for at least trying.

The Empire State Building

Visiting the Empire State Building is a must for anyone in New York City. Unfortunately I’ve never been to the top, but the first floors offer a really unique display about the history. The landmark offers stunning views and rich history, and it’s also featured in Gossip Girl with scenes including the character Chuck Bass.

Rockefeller Center

The Rockefeller Center in an iconic destination for anyone visiting New York City. We went in June and they had a rainbow walkway. If you know me, you know I LOVE rainbows. Visitors can enjoy outdoor events, art exhibits, shopping, and stunning views of the city from the Top of the Rock observation deck.

The Brooklyn Bridge

The panoramic views of the Manhattan skyline, Brooklyn, and the East River are breathtaking when walking the Brooklyn Bridge. I recommend walking from the Manhattan side across to the Brooklyn side to enjoy a slice (or entire pie) of Grimaldi’s Pizza and the views from Brooklyn Bridge Park.

Brooklyn Bridge Park

Brooklyn Bridge Park has some spectacular views of the Manhattan skyline, the Brooklyn Bridge, and you can even see the Statue of Liberty. The park has waterfront promenade, recreational piers, fun playgrounds, and open green spaces for picnics or relaxing. Various events and actives take place throughout the year, making it a great spot or leisurely strolls or even a bike ride. This is the perfect place to relax and eat after walking across The Brooklyn Bridge.

Visit Central Park

Central Park is a must-see destination for anyone visiting New York City. It offers a peaceful escape from the bustling city with its beautiful landscapes, peaceful lakes, and lush greenery. Whether you want to take a leisurely stroll, have a picnic, ride a bike, or simply relax, Central Park has something for everyone.

The High Line in New York City is a unique elevated park built on an old railway line. It offers beautiful views, cool art installations, and great food vendors.

American Museum of Natural History

Whether you’re an adult, a young child, or just a fan of The Night at the Museum Movie, the American Natural History Museum is a can’t miss in New York City. This museum is one of the largest and most celebrated natural history museums in the world. We not only had a good time exploring all the exhibits, but also enjoyed learning new things.

St. Patrick’s Cathedral

St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Midtown Manhattan, New York City, is known for its Gothic Revival architecture and beautiful stained glass windows. It’s a must-see, inside and out, for all visitors.

New York Public Library

The New York Public Library is a must-visit for its beautiful architecture and extraordinary book collection. It is free to enter, however, when we went there were events happening inside, so we were unable to go inside.

The Oculus

The Oculus in NYC is a must see. Not only is it a transport hub, but there are tons of shopping and dining options. The architecture is absolutely stunning, and the natural light inside creates an incredible atmosphere.

Little Island

Little Island is a newer park in NYC. Its build on concrete “tulip-like” pots that rise out of the water on the Hudson River. It offers stunning views of the city skyline, hosts cultural events and performances, and provides a peaceful green space in the midst of the urban environment. If you’re a local or a first time visitor, Little Island is definitely worth a visit to enjoy its unique and relaxing atmosphere.

Little Italy

Little Italy is a cool experience in all. The neighborhood offers authentic Italian cuisine, traditional festivals, in a convenient location. Just done eat a cannoli from a guy selling them on the street out of a paper bag.
I did, after being told it wasn’t a good idea, and thought that was going to be the end of me.

The Vessel

I have never been brave enough to climb on The Vessel, but I have had the opportunity to see it up close many times. Whether you’re interested in architecture, photography, or simply enjoying stunning views of the city, The Vessel is a must-visit attraction in NYC.

Chinatown

Chinatown is a vibrant neighborhood with authentic Chinese restaurants, bustling markets, and unique shops. It’s such a cool place to learn about Chinese culture and heritage.
